For now, I ask you if you have a dog of your own to play ball with him or her today in honor of my little one. The tennis ball was his true love.
And treat him or her well with lots of hugs and kisses. If you are without a dog, consider donating to a local no-kill shelter. Cody was lucky to be spoiled and live a long, good life. So many others do not get that chance.
As I say goodbye to my little man, I also thank you for being a part of his last few months.

Oh Anita, I'm so sorry to hear this! :( My condolences to you. I enjoyed stopping by Cody's blog, hearing his wisdom, and seeing what cute things he was up to. How sad that he's gone now, but as you said, he lived a good life. You were a great mom to him!
so sad.. :( :( Cody will be missed. He's in a good place now.
Oh Anita, I am so sorry. When I saw your email this morning, my heart sank hoping it wasn't his final post. They will always be our puppies, always be special, always live in our hearts. Yes, he had a Good Life because he had you. Sending love and warm thoughts your way. Lisa
Anita, I am so sorry. I know words can't help you heal right now but know that your baby is no longer suffering and he had a wonderful life because of you. Sending you a big hug. Love ya- Rushina
Anita, I'm so sorry to hear about Cody. I know you guys did everything you could to guarantee that Cody lived the doggie dream, and his 16 years were proof of that. I really am going to miss the little guy. Lots of love to you and your mom, we're all thinking about you. Ritu
Cody is in heaven.
